Working Away...

Hey all! Well, I have been flat out since starting work on Monday here with Biznet. For those that don't know why I am traveling so much to other countries, I guess it would be good to tell you why ... since that is the #1 question I am receiving. While I WISH I had the time/money to be traveling the world for personal fun & adventure, these trips are work-related. I am currently in the process of implementing a Supplier Performance Management (SPM) web-based tool for BP (my client) at various business units across the world. I have been working on this particular project for about 15 months or so and we are finally in the global implementation stage of this project. Now that being said, it is definitely about work when I am abroad - not that I don't get to see things or do things, but my time is limited due to long hours and ... well ... I tire so easily!

I must say, I do feel physically better on this trip than I have in a while. Obviously, I am a bit concerned about traveling with all the medications but I seem to be doing fine here in Belfast. I did, however, have a conversation with my contact in Pakistan and he ended by saying, "Get ready for the Eastern food!" ... uh, right - that could be a slight problem - but I will deal with it as it gets closer to time. I figure, if I can survive in London then I can survive anywhere ... nothing but breads or Curry food in London ... ick!

Thursday night, a few of us are going to a play about Northern Ireland, which will be at the Opera House. Apparently, it is supposed to be very funny but I hope that I can understand what they are saying - I have been told their accents are quite sharp and when they talk really fast here, I can't understand a word! The plan is to go listen to some real Irish music afterwards at a local bar - this time I will bring my camera, it was the most memorable experience of all my times here when I came here last ... I am looking forward to it. I believe Friday we will spend most of the time in the pubs and Saturday, I plan to do some touring around. Sunday will be a day filled with shopping, and then my client from the BP Houston office arrives later that day ... so we will be taking her out to dinner for her first visit to Belfast.

As you can see, I have posted some pictures from Sunday's lunch in Downpatrick. ENJOY!

Hope all is well with everyone,
keely :)
